How Doug got started in energy efficiency

I began teaching about energy efficiency in 1973 during the oil embargo. I was the state architect for Farmers Home Administration. One day my boss came to me and said, “Doug, low-income families are having to move out of their homes because their electric bills are more than their house payments. I want you to find out why.”

WHAT? I didn’t take any classes on energy efficiency in college; in fact, I didn’t know ANYTHING about energy efficiency.

I closely examined the impact that high utility bills had on low-income families. That’s when I came across a small pamphlet talking about energy efficiency in homes. I slowly learned that their electric bills were not high because of poor craftsmanship, but because of poor building standards. I also learned that high utility costs adversely affected not only low-income families, but families of all incomes.

Whether you’re a minimum-wage worker or a company CEO, high utility bills deprive you of hard-earned money. Throughout my research, I have learned that you do not have to give in to your utility bills. You CAN take control with very little to almost no added expense.

The rest is history. I have spent more than 30 years researching and learning how to lower your utility bills.

Every day, the world wastes non-renewable, natural resources and pollutes what is left.

Did you know that on a hot summer day America’s electrical grid is at 90% capacity? With our present rate of population growth, electricity demand increases 2.5% a year. In just a few years, America’s electrical grid will be overloaded, unless we take action NOW. We can provide our energy needs if we simply conserve and change our wasteful ways. We hope that people all around the world will take control of our energy situation before environmental disaster requires us to take immediate or alternative action.

Our choices for survival are simple:

Build more generating plants, at a cost of billions of dollars. Build more electrical grids at a cost of billions. The result will be more pollution and the use of more of our nonrenewable resources. Let’s just tell our grandchildren we hope they make it somehow, because we really don’t care.

- OR –

Conserve our energy resources by improving the efficiency of our buildings. Implementing a few of the things we teach, can stretch our existing power generators and electrical grids for another 20 years. We can pay a little now or a whole lot later.

Notice these are choices. It is our choice. Please join us in choosing to do what is right, smart, and a win-win situation for you, the energy companies, and our earth. Our energy saving techniques help to save the environment and save electricity.

With concerns about rising fuel costs and global warming, the energy efficient induction hob is increasingly attractive. It is a dream to cook on & easy to clean.

Cooking on an induction cooktop is becoming more affordable as appliances are falling in price and a greater choice of induction appliances is appearing in the stores of Europe, the U.K. and North America.

Advantages of Using an Electric Induction cooktop:

In simple terms the clever electrical wiring is hidden beneath the glossy ceramic surface. It heats the pan on top directly by using electro-magnetism. By this process pans are heated almost immediately making this an extremely fast way of, for example, bring water to the boil.

There is less energy wasted heating the cooktop and surrounding air before the pan, which translates to lower fuel bills. A busy kitchen, the family gathering spot, estimated savings of 30.00 per month after replacing gas with www.frescohealth.com cooktops,

Induction Stove and more Portable Induction stove for the lowest price guarantee . Free Shipping. www.frescohealth.com

There are other advantages. Being so efficient it will lose less heat into the kitchen atmosphere making less of a contribution to the overheated kitchen.

As the cooktop will be cooler there is less chance for spilled food to become baked on, in fact, the cooktop can be wiped clean whilst in use if practical to do so. This makes it ideal for a modern low maintenance kitchen.
Induction Cooktop Problems & Disadvantages

Pans must be magnetic, having a specific type of base, otherwise nothing happens to the pan, the hob does not get warm. It will most likely require an investment in all new pans.( provided with the new www.frescohealth.com cooktop!

If the surface gets damaged, the whole hob is unusable, not just one ring.
Read on

* Designing a Male Kitchen
* Electro Magnetic Induction Stoves and Cookers

Induction hobs are more expensive than other cooktops, but the difference in price is diminishing.

Using the hob requires attention and practice because things warm up so fast. Like any new roduct it takes getting used to but may involve some burnt offerings in the early days.
Does an Induction Hob Get Hot?

Contrary to myth the surface of an induction hob does get very hot and could damage items placed on top of it when hot. It warms whilst in use because it has a hot pan on top of it, the heat transfers from the pan to the surface as well as from the pan to its contents via conduction.

The hob does not get hot when turned on, if it is turned on by accident it will not burn hands or objects which are not magnetic. The cooktop is heated by the pan and not the other way round.

If the pan contains water, for example, the water could be heated to boiling point, it stands to reason the surface of the hob will also get very hot.
Why Induction Hobs are Likely to Become Standard in New Kitchens

* Pan & contents are heated faster than by other hob technologies;
* Less fuel is used for cooking, resulting in lower bills;
* Easy to clean;
* Looks good, modern and desirable.

Need Reasons to Buy a New Induction Cooktop

* Expensive to buy; Not any more check out www.frescohealth.com
* New pans may be needed, old pans will be useless; free with a fresco health cooktop
* Learning curve to adapt to the speed of heating, food will boil quickly, saving time and money!

Here are seven ways to save energy and the green from your wallet.

The price of everything keeps going up and it seems like there is no end in sight! We all need to find ways to save the green to be able to keep our budgets afloat.

Although this is not a complete list of energy savings tips, by implementing these simple changes to your everyday schedule, you’ll see immediate savings on your utility bill.

1. Be a Kilo-watt Saver

As with any resolution, saving electricity will take a little getting used to. For starters, turn off lights when you leave a room. Turning off electrical devices when not in use can save a bundle on your electric bill. Computers, printers, modems, satellite dishes, VCR’s, TV’s, and other electronic devices use electricity even when they are switched off. Unplugging them from an outlet will ensure that they are not burning up your paycheck. If possible, eliminate an extra freezer or pop/beer refrigerator in the garage. These appliances can add 10-30% to your electric bill.

2. Program Your Home to Save

Yes it’s true! You can add a programmable thermostat to turn the heat and also the air conditioning on and off to save on your electric bill. By turning these units off when no one is home and by regulating the temperature of your home, you can certainly see a 5-20% decrease on your monthly electric bill.

3. Wash Away the Wattage Use

One key to saving energy is to load the washer, dryer and dishwasher completely before running the appliances. By washing your clothes in cold water, you can see a 50-75% saving in energy use. Clean the dryer’s lint basket before loading the next laundry load. Many dryers now have an auto-sensing drying setting that will turn the unit off when the clothes are dry.

4. Hot Water Blues

Nothing feels better than a hot shower in the morning, but extended time using all of that hot water will cost you. Limit shower times and the temperature that you use and you’ll see a dramatic savings in the electric hot water heater energy cost. Showers and laundry can easily account for 60-75% of the water heating costs. An inexpensive way to save is to add a low flow shower head. This limits the amount of water coming out of the shower head.

Dishwashers require hot water to perform at their peak performance, but you can save money by washing dishes by hand. The water usage may be about the same, but you’re not using an electric device.

5. Adjusting Water Temperature to Save

Turn the water heater temperature to the middle setting at around 120° in order to keep the unit from wasting electricity. By wrapping the hot water piping with insulation, you’ll make you system efficient. Just these simple steps can save you 10% on heating costs.

6. Hoarding Heaters and Air Conditioners

Furnaces can heat you out of house and home. Having a dirty filter in your furnace will cut the furnace’s efficiency in half. By installing a new filter that costs between three to seven dollars, the furnace can work with ease and save you money.

Try shutting off registers in unused rooms and close their doors. Why would you heat or cool a room that you’re not using?

Central air outdoor condensers should be cleaned with a garden hose to clean out dirt and debris. Caution: Never attempt this without first shutting down the unit and disconnecting the power from the unit. Remember, safety first!

7. Energy Saving Investments that Pay

Energy Star® rated appliances use 20-50% less energy than standard models. The savings are even greater when compared to the antique units some of us have managed to keep running for 20-30 years. When you consider the new Whirlpool® Duet front load washers use 33% of the water that standard washers use and can do three times as many clothes per load, you can quickly see how the savings will add up.

Insulate your hot water heater with an insulating jacket to take a good chunk out of the gas or electric bill. Wrapping it in insulation saves energy by keeping the water inside hot and prevents the heater from turning on often to reheat it.

Adding an insulating jacket cuts water heater energy use by almost 20%, that can cut as much as $6/month off an electric or gas bill for the average home. At that price buying the insulation will pay for itself within a few months and keep saving energy for years after. Insulating jackets sized just for water heaters are available at most hardware stores that stock major appliances. Try to find one at least 2-3 inches thick and close in size to your water heater.

Be careful when installing insulation on to gas- or oil-fired water heaters. Follow the instructions that came with the heater jacket carefully with these types of heaters. In general though – keep the insulation away from the drain or airflow vent at the bottom, the flue near the top, and don’t cover the top of the heater because it can interfere with the draft diverter and hot exhaust air. If in doubt, have a plumbing or heating contractor insulate the water heater for you.

OPERATION/INSTALLATION

Start with the Fresco on its lowest Square Feet setting and turn the Ozonator dial “up” as necessary. The ideal amount of activated oxygen will leave your room smelling clean and fresh. If the unit is set too high, you will smell the ozone. If it set too low, you will smell household odors.
The lonizer is designed to run independently from the activated oxygen production. The ionizer can be used around the clock to keep down dust and particulate. Ozone, however, should be kept at modest levels in occupied spaces. Ozone’s primary application is to control odors. The level of ozone may be adjusted according to the severity of the odors in the home or office. Many users put the purifier on a timer so it can run at high levels while being away. The timer is set to cut off about one hour before the occupants are scheduled to return. The O3, that is not used normally reverts back to O2 in about an hour. When they arrive the air is fresh and clean.
Individual sensitivity to activated oxygen and preference may vary and should be adjusted accordingly. The effect of activated oxygen on indoor air may vary according to atmospheric and/or environmental conditions such as altitude, humidity, air movement, severity of existing odors, house design, and square footage.
If you desire to treat the entire home with the same level of ozone, set the fan switch on your home’s heating & cooling system to the ON position rather than AUTO. Open all interior doors and adjust the activated oxygen level to the appropriate square footage. Then place the unit so the air from the purifier flows directly into a air return vent.
Altitude: Generally, in higher altitudes the requirement for activated oxygen decreases. Therefore, higher altitudes should require lower settings.
Humidity: Generally, in higher humidity the requirements for activated oxygen increases. Therefore, increased humidity may require higher settings.
For optimal treatment of air in your designated area, your new air purification unit should be placed in a central location (higher is better). Your unit can be set on a tall piece of furniture. Allow three inches between the back of your unit and the wall to allow proper airflow. Fan speed is normally set in the medium range. The reason for elevated placement of the unit is that activated oxygen is heavier than air. Elevated placement allows for better circulation. It is suggested that the purifier be placed in the room that is close to the primary source of odor.

DETERMINE YOUR SQUARE FOOTAGE

Here’s how to determine the Square Feet Setting for your home or office:
Measure total area of each room to be treated.
Add area of room(s) together for total area to be treated. Note: If doors are open to another room, add that area also. Measure total enclosed area.
The customer may use more than one Fresco Air unit in order to better control levels of activated oxygen in different areas of your home or office.
The concentration of ozone will be higher in the immediate area of the unit.

Warning: Excessive ozone concentrations may cause mucous membrane or respiratory irritation and can be harmful.

USING A TIMER

Some users who are sensitive to ozone set their units up on a timer so that the purifier does its work only when they are away from home. This allows for a higher setting and higher concentrations which can be more effective for purging purposes. The ozone will normally dissipate in less than an hour after the purifier is turned off. Simple timers plug into an outlet and are available at hardware and variety stores.

SERVICE

Should you determine that your air unit requires service, please call the 1-865-774-8968 as listed on he back panel of the unit.

WARRANTY

Your air unit comes with a 3 year limited warranty from the date of original purchase. Refer to enclosed warranty card for complete details. Please complete and return the warranty registration card within ten days o date of purchase in order to activate your warranty.

CLEANING & MAINTENANCE

When the purifier no longer produces enough ozone to be effective, the ozone plate should be cleaned. A good rule of thumb is every three months. Some environments cause ozone output to be reduced in a shorter time but other environments may take longer.
To clean a plate, first turn the unit Off and unplug from outlet. Then remove the 4″x4″ plate or plates from back of unit. Pull plates firmly in the center to remove from the slot. With plate firmly supported in the hand, wash plate with warm soapy water or a grease cutting detergent. Scrub with stiff brush if necessary. Be careful not to drop the plate or scrub off the silicon. Clean both the metal screen and the ceramic tile. Rinse plate in hot water and dry completely before installing. If available, you may use a hair dryer to dry the plate. Reinstall plate, making sure it is secured and flush with the back of the unit. Plug unit into a grounded 110 electrical outlet, turn unit on and start enjoying clean fresh air.
To clean needlepoint ionizer, first turn Off and unplug from outlet. Remove the fan grill cover. The needlepoint ionizer will be easy to find in front of the fan by looking for two pieces of wire. Take a q-tip or cotton swab dipped in alcohol and clean any dirt that may have accumulated on the needlepoint’s. This process may be done when plates are being cleaned. While you have the front grill cover off the unit you may also clean the fan and the grill itself. To clean the fan simply wipe the blades with a damp cloth or vacuum. The grill cover may also be cleaned with warm soapy water. Be careful that the fan grill cover is completely dry before reinstalling.

TROUBLESHOOTING

If you suspect a problem with your unit check the following:
Make sure plate is clean (see above).
Unit is plugged in properly and turned on.
Check the fuse to make sure it is installed properly and not burned out. To replace fuse, push in and turn fuse holder to the left, remove old fuse, replace with spare. Use 1 amp fuse, 1.25 inches long.
Wall outlet is active.
Check plate alignment, making sure the ceramic plate is almost flush with back of unit.
It important that the Fresco be properly grounded to avoid potential shock.
If the fan is not operating or no buzzing sound is detected on the high setting of the Ozonator dial, call the Warranty Service Number listed on the back of unit.
Caution: No attempt should be made to remove the back panel of the unit, as there are no user serviceable parts. Opening the unit will void all warranties.

COMMONLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q. What does the Fresco do?
A. It treats the air in your home or office by breaking down odor causing pollutants and dropping airborne particulate from your breathing space.
Q. How does the Fresco treat the air?
A. The Fresco produces ozone and negatively charged ions, the same effective cleansing agents that nature uses to treat outdoor air.
Q. How does the Fresco work?
A. It is a two-stage process
The Fresco uses a needlepoint ionizer to drop dust, smoke, and other harmful particles from the air we breathe. In our homes and offices there is a lack of negative ions and an abundance of positive ions. The buildings we spend most of our time in block out the natural occurring negative ions. The Fresco recreates the natural balance of positive to negative ions to significantly re-duce airborne particulate.
The Fresco uses electricity to split oxygen 02 molecules into single 01 atoms, which attach loosely to other 02 molecules to be-come 03 (activated oxygen). This loosely attached oxygen atom is unstable and seeks to bond with chemical compounds and other odor causing pollutants in order to oxidize them.
Q. How does nature produce ozone?
A. Ozone is created electrically during active thunderstorms. The electrical discharge creates a fresh sweet smell. The ultraviolet rays of the sun striking hydrocarbons in our atmosphere also creates ozone.
Q. How does nature produce ions?
A. Waterfalls, lightning, and the waves of the ocean all create negative ions.
Q. What is an ozone alert?
A. Ozone alerts in cities are a result of the high pollution levels of hydrocarbons
produced by the burning of fossil fuels. When ultraviolet rays from the sun strike hydrocarbons, 03 is one of the by-products. Ozone is easily detected and is sometimes used as a reference point for the level of pollutants.
Q. How does it compare to air filters?

A. Fresco does not rely on the air to actually pass through the machine to be cleaned like air filters. It’s not a filter at all. Fresco produces both activated oxygen which reduces odors and negative ions which settles out particulate.
Q. Is ozone safe?

A. Yes, but moderation is the key. Ozone in very high concentrations can be irritating to mucous membranes and the respiratory system. We recommend you set the Square Feet dial properly. The three different models equate to the approximate size of space to be purified. Before using the Fresco you should read the enclosed instructions carefully. Refer to Using a Timer section.
Q. Where should I place the Fresco in my home or office?
A. The Fresco should be placed in the room where you have the most pollutants. The Fresco is easy to move so you might want to try it in a couple of locations to help decide what works best for your environment. An elevated location is better to distribute ions and activated oxygen more evenly.
Q. How long will the Fresco last?

A. The Fresco is made of stainless steel and solid wood construction. Because of the quality material and superior craftsmanship that goes into each Fresco you will enjoy it for many years.
Q. Is it difficult to install?

A. No. Just plug it in and set the dial for the area you will be treating. Install the Fresco in any room, but try to find a place where it can be up off the ground four feet or more. Some customers prefer to have more than one unit to better control levels of activated oxygen in the home.

“An Ounce of Prevention Is Worth a Pound of Cure”
The Fresco can deliver both - an ounce of prevention and a pound of cure.

THREE RULES to REMEMBER

Experiment! Your Purifier is portable so move it around. Get the most out of your ! Put it through the paces and enjoy the benefits.
Be considerate. Some people are sensitive to the smell of the Activated Oxygen. That’s O.K, because most people eventually grow accustomed to it. Keep in mind that once you “sanitize /bathe” your entire home with nature’s cleaning elements, only an undetectable, low level amount of 03 is necessary to maintain a normal level of purity.
ALWAYS keep the back of the purifier open and clear to draw in air.

# 1 Heating-n-Cooling Clean Up!
(Purifier-High / Fan-Low)

This step takes the most time and is the most beneficial to you. Purifying your heating, cooling and ventilation system could alone pay for your Fresco air purifier. It can cost hundreds of dollars to have your home ventilation ductwork cleaned out and chemically treated to help prevent infection and breathing disorders. This step can be very helpful as a preventative measure and is worth recommending to friends and family! Your Fresco air purifier can help keep the ventilation system in your house ‘spic-n-span’ by periodically repeating this step.

Just place your unit directly in front of and directly facing a return air duct or intake of your ventilation system.
Turn your purifier “On” with the fan on a “Low” to “Medium” setting. Set the Square Feet dial on the unit to the maximum setting.
Next go to your thermostat and turn your Heating/ Cooling system Fan to “On” for continuous operation.
Allow the setup to run at least 2 hours after you smell the Activated Oxygen coming out the vents farthest away from the central air / fan unit. This normally takes about 2 to 5 hours. Better still, you can let it run this way all day while you’re away. If you do leave it on all day, open all your closet doors to freshen them up at the same time.

# 2 Breathing Easy in the Bedroom
(Purifier-High / Fan-High)

This step won’t take long and has the potential to give you the best night’s sleep ever!
Simply pull back the blankets and cover to expose the mattress and pillows.
Set the mad-Line on the foot of your bed and pointed toward the head.
Turn your Purifier “On” with the Fan set on “High”. Set the Square Feet setting to the maximum.
Cover the Purifier and your whole bed with a light sheet to make a “tent” over everything except the back of the purifier (so it can breathe). This will concentrate the Activated Oxygen deep into your bedding to oxidize odors and reduce the irritation from unseen particles such as dust mite excretion in our beds. This procedure can benefit your breathing and thus increase your ability to get a good night sleep.
Make sure to keep the back of your Purifier clear. The Purifier must be able to draw air through it to produce Activated Oxygen properly
Finally close the door to the room and allow the Purifier to disinfect the bed for 1 to 3 hours or all day while you’re away. Then walk into a purified bedroom and remove the setup.
Note: You may be tempted to sleep with the unit in your room. However, that is not recommended once the room is sanitized. You will normally have a smaller amount of 03 concentrations with the purifier when it is placed in its “home place” such as a main living area and allowed to circulate throughout the house. The higher concentration in the bedroom is not necessary on a regular basis and those who are sensitive may find it uncomfortable.

#3 Mold Blast Basement/Garage
(Purifier-High / Fan-High)

This step will pleasantly surprise you as the smell from the unsanitary mold and mildew in the basement / garage becomes transformed into a sweet smelling place to spend time. Please note that you may have to run a dehumidifier if the basement environment is really damp. Mold and mildew love dampness. However, the purifier can handle most basements without a dehumidifier.
Place your Purifier in the center of the basement about 5 to 6 feet above the floor if possible. Higher is better.
Turn your Purifier “On” with the Fan set on “High”. Set the Square Feet setting to the maximum. Place an additional fan in the room if necessary to circulate the Activated Oxygen to every corner of the basement if the airflow in the basement is limited.
Allow the purifier up to run for 6 to 8 hours for mild/ moderate problems. Allow it to operate from 2 to 4 days if you have a serious problem basement. Remember, According to Experts, if you can smell the mold or mildew, you could be at risk! So lets remove odors and significantly reduce dangerous mold!!!
Note: For severely infected or damp areas consider a second purifier. Also remember: When you have the Fresco Square Feet setting on “High” it is for purging purposes. When oxidizing mold you will normally smell a “detergent” like odor resembling chlorine which creates a reduction or “breakthrough” of the mold.

#4 Flush Your Bathroom
(Purifier-High / Fan-High)

This step can help reduce mold and mildew and other odors. It will help you keep those smelly microorganisms from taking over your bathroom!
Place your Purifier in the center of the bathroom about 5 to 6 feet above the floor.
Turn the Purifier “On” with the Fan set on “High”. Turn the Square Feet setting on your Purifier to the maximum setting.
Allow the unit to run for 2 to 4 hours.
This procedure should be repeated at least once per month to help maintain a healthy mold-free bathroom in addition to your regular cleaning.
Also keep in mind that when you have the Fresco purifier setting on “high” it is for purging purposes only. When oxidizing mold you will normally smell a “detergent” like odor resembling chlorine, which creates a “breakthrough” or reduction of the mold. However, the machine does not produce chlorine, only Activated Oxygen and ionization. This is the same Natural process the sun and a thunderstorm produces to clean up the outdoor air pollution.

# 5 Spring Clean the Closet
(Purifier-High / Fan-High)
This step can help you reduce or eliminate that stale, musty smell from all of your closets and storage units.
Place your Purifier in the center of the closet or storage space up as high as you can get it. If you’re just freshening up a small item like a chest or trunk, lower the lid to within 3 inches of being fully closed. You must allow some fresh air in for your Purifier to work the maximum.
Turn your Purifier “On” with the Fan set on “High”. Turn the Square Feet setting to the maximum setting. the cord as you close the door.
Allow this setup to run for 1 to 3 hours depending on how full your closet or the size of the storage area, Its OK to run it all day.
Note: For smelly shoes or a smoke drenched jacket: Place in front of purifier on a “high” setting for an extra hour or so.

# 6 Hammer Remodeling Fumes
(Purifier-High / Fan-High)
This procedure can help reduce and eliminate those hazardous toxic fumes and dust created in your home after you paint, lay carpeting, install cabinetry, or almost any remodeling! This step can provide amazing results and is worth recommending to family and friends who are also remodeling or building.
Place your Purifier in the center most area of the room about 5 to 6 feet above the floor.
Turn your Purifier “On” with the Fan set on High. Set the Square Feet to the maximum setting.
Place an additional fan in the room to circulate the Activated Oxygen to every corner of the room if the airflow is limited in the room.
If off-gassing from materials is high you may consider vacating the area. Allow this setup to run for 4 to 24 hours, or longer, depending on the level of the odor. It is often best to vacate the room while the activated oxygen works to eliminate the chemicals.
Note: Always Keep in mind that the Activated Oxygen (03) in higher concentrations is for purging purposes only and not necessary for continuous use. With the purifying setting on “high”, you are purifying like a thunderstorm with lightning. On lower settings you are maintaining a daily purification process just like the sun. It’s nature’s way!

#9 Car Freshening
(Purifier-High / Fan-High)
This step can help you reduce or eliminate that stale smell your car can get as it ages, as well as help eliminate the hazardous fumes in a new car or those from a smoker or a pet passenger. This is another powerful demonstration of the ability of your Fresco. This is a single treatment that can be repeated again and again as fumes build up.

Place your Fresco on the front seat of your car.
Make sure the back of your Purifier is clear so you maintain good airflow through the machine.
Open one of the windows on each side of the vehicle about 1 inch to allow fresh air in to your Purifier.
Turn your Purifier “On” with the Fan set on “High”. Set the Square Feet dial to the maximum.
Watch the cord as you close the door or put it through the window.
Allow this set up to run up to 2 hours or longer depending on the odor level. Your nose will know when it is done.
Note: You may also turn your car ignition to the “On” position and turn your car’s heating / cooling ventilation Fan to “On”. This will help to clear odors out of the system.

# 10 Freshen Outdoor Gear & RV’s
(Purifier-High / Fan-High)
This step will purify your musty seasonal clothing, tent and camping gear; as well as RV’s. Perform this step if you want to help protect them from problem odors and serious damage from mold and mildew while in storage; A must-do step before and after storage of your seasonal gear and Camper. THIS IS ALSO GREAT FOR BOATS (especially with cuddy cabins)! Have you ever taken the cover off your boat and been blown away by the musty smells?

Note: If you are allergic to the OUTDOOR POLLEN and MOLD that finds its way in the RV or camper at night, or you are an avid camper, consider investing in a second Fresco Unit for the road. Remember when mold oxidizes it smells like Chlorine. Wait for that after “thunderstorm” fresh air smell before removing the unit (or turning it down).
Allow this setup to run for 1/2 to 4 hours. Let your nose be the judge.
Turn the Purifier “On” with the fan set to “Medium”. Turn the Square Feet setting to the maximum.
For RV, CAMPERS, TENTS and BOATS place the unit in the unoccupied space. Make sure there is a small window or a crack open for ventilation. Leave purifier in the unit for 2 to 24 hours depending on the severity of the mold problem.
Place items opened or hung -up in front of the Fresco machine in a small space such as a closet or storage unit. Or lay the gear out on the floor tented with a sheet leaving the back of the Fresco unit open for ventilation (See Bedroom Section)
